Schools To Re-Open Campus June 13, Indoor Dining Resumes June 6

Beijing’s primary and secondary school students will be back to campus on June 13, while kindergartens will open their doors starting June 20, according to an official announcement reported in Beijing Daily today. 

Offline school activities and extracurricular activities may also start again , subject to the schools' and activity centers' discretion and management. 

Meanwhile, indoor dining will resume across the city tomorrow (June 6).

In addition, delivery service personnel will also be able to enter residential communities from June 6 as well. Public transportation including buses, subways and taxis will resume normal operation.  

Negative nucleic acid tests (NAT) requirements will be changed from every 48 hours to every 72 hours, so you will require a negative test within the last 3 days in order to access gated venues. 

Parks as well as outdoor and indoor scenic locations will be open to 75% of maximum capacity in staggered attendance subject to advance reservation. Group tourism activities may also resume, though all participants should have full vaccination records.

Currently, Fengtai and parts of Changping (these are elevated risk areas) are exempt from this return to normalcy. 

Work from home is over. Check with your HR though to be sure.

These rules will begin to take effect tomorrow. However, you should 100% expect challenges tomorrow, as it will take a while for this to percolate down to every last community in Beijing.
